Unlocking access to Retail Check capabilities in Auto Trader Connect

The evolving retail landscape is impacting retailer confidence when making sourcing and pricing decisions. As a result, retailers are seeking data to help them to make more informed retail decisions, with a view to understanding market conditions and the competitor landscape when sourcing and pricing.

72% of Auto Trader customers use Retail Check and 73% of those who manage stock in a 3rd party system, also access Retail Check in Dealer Portal.

To address this demand from retailers, we’re making advanced market-level metrics available through Auto Trader Connect - Retail Check.

Retail Rating - An indicator of how quickly a vehicle will sell on Auto Trader based on current market conditions. It is calculated by analysing speed of sale performance, plus market conditions including supply and demand, and is surfaced on a scale of 1-100.

Competing Vehicles - Rank where a vehicle advert sits in the live market compared to similar or exact match vehicles. Vehicles can be ranked based on value or price and displayed in a list or graph view. The data can be filtered to increase or reduce the volume of competing vehicles.

By unlocking these insights, we are providing the capability to build intelligent sourcing and pricing solutions, such as Retail Check within your partner platform.

Retail Check is an appraisal and pricing tool that gives retailers the broadest, most accurate view of the live retail market, helping them make more informed sourcing and pricing decisions faster.

To create some of the Retail Check capabilities, you will need to combine the new market metrics, with Auto Trader Vehicle Data and Valuations, available within the Auto Trader Connect Valuations and Retail Essentials modules.

This new functionality will be available in all retailer packages with early access from 1st December 2023. Access to the Retail Check module for integration partners will be made available from week commencing 23rd October.

We’ll be presenting a live demonstration of Retail Check and discussing the new features in Auto Trader Connect at our dedicated Partner webinar on 31st October.
