A new way to manage your reviews

Our partnership with Feefo enables you to manage your reviews all in one place, supported by a specialist reviews partner.

  • 77% of buyers said they would be more likely to contact a retailer after seeing a full vehicle check with a clear history on an Auto Trader advert.

    To increase a buyers’ likelihood to buy we’ve brought you AT Vehicle Check, in partnership with Experian.

    It enables you to run a vehicle history check on any truck you’re looking to buy, at any time.

    When you advertise a vehicle, we automatically show a 10-point summary of the results to consumers on your Auto Trader advert to build confidence and trust with the buyer.

  • Auto Trader Connect, Retail Essentials will be included as part of your Auto Trader package.

    With this you can create and manage adverts in your own stock management system for quicker, easier and more accurate advert creation. Shared in real-time across key selling channels for consistency across your website, Auto Trader, OEM websites and more.

    Putting an end to advert discrepancies and out of sync sales channels. That's less time spent on admin tasks and more time for what matters.

  • We run Facebook ‘catalogue’ adverts which show your stock to audiences on Facebook. These adverts link directly to our truck adverts, driving a new audience to your adverts.

  • We invest heavily in pay per click on Google and Bing to make sure we are appearing at the top of Google for truck related terms.

  • The app is rated 4.8/5 by those who have downloaded it.

Trucks on Auto Trader Android app

Your trucks are now also placed in the Auto Trader Android app.

  • Anyone who downloads the app on their Android phone will be able to browse your trucks

  • In December 2021, 12% of our retailers advert views came from our Android app

  • Our Auto Trader Android app has had over 5 million downloads.

Improving our Google rankings

Our Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) team have been working hard on our website to make sure we rank top in Google for as many truck-related searches as possible.

Refreshing Auto Trader Trucks Design

We launched new pages across the Auto Trader trucks website. These not only look great but are optimised to keep buyers on our website for as long as possible.

  • We have given the trucks homepage a fresh new look, ensuring the buyers who come looking for a truck on Auto Trader can find the perfect one for them.

  • Our latest full-page ads are fully responsive and have faster page load speeds. When we launched these redesigned adverts, we saw an uplift in leads.

  • Our redesigned editorial pages are now optimised to perform better on Google search results, allowing us to bring more traffic to our content.

  • The latest version of our sell page contains lots of tips to help private sellers to sell their motorhome and or caravan as fast as possible.

  • Showcasing new motorhomes and caravans. Featuring a new lifestyle component, which splits out motorhomes and caravans by berth, to help new buyers find the perfect one for them.

Ensuring buyers are COVID safe

We made sure any changes to COVID guidelines were clearly communicated to buyers on our websites by creating guides, hosting key messages on home page takeovers and promoting home delivery and click and collect.

Expert content

We published lots of editorial content including an interview with trucks influencer featuring Becky Giles, and lots of guides including:

  • 5 Best buses

  • 5 Best Iveco Trucks

  • 5 Best MAN Units

  • and 5 Best recovery trucks (car transporters).

Emissions class

In our research, 57% of buyers told us they think the emission class of a truck is important when searching to buy.

We have made sure emissions class is a prominent feature on site, in search and on your adverts. A third of Auto Trader’s audience use the emissions class filter when searching for trucks by emission class.

It is simple to add this information in Portal, when uploading your stock.
