How to know the impact your advertising package is having on your advert performance
Customers often ask what impact their advertising package is having on their performance and what they could expect if they moved to a different package. If you’ve ever wondered how much better your adverts would perform if you upgraded your package, or you’ve ever been challenged on the cost of your current package, our new Performance Simulator can help.
Our data team has built the simulator, which uses your own performance data to model what your performance would have been over the last 7 days had you been on a different package. This new tool will help you answer your questions and make more informed business decisions to meet your goals on Auto Trader.
If you need a refresher on what Performance Rating means and how to use it to measure your performance, read this blog post.
Please note that the tool only simulates used car performance so will not consider stock on van, bike, commercial or leisure channels. You must have at least 5 cars advertised and advertise more cars than vans to see the tool.

The tool is on your homepage in Portal:
The Performance Simulator tool can be found from your Portal homepage by clicking on “Compare your performance on other packages”.
