Deal Builder Update – Spring 2025
Find out what’s new with Deal Builder as we enter the sunnier spring…
We've been busy working to improve Deal Builder in the last few months, aiming to deliver the best buying experience possible as we begin spring 2025.
Introducing Finance quotes
To provide your customers with greater flexibility in their finance options, we’re enabling them to attach finance quotes to their deal without needing to complete a full finance application*.
This will allow them to save their personal details and finance terms by attaching the quotes they received from your lenders at the time of submission. Meaning you can seamlessly pick up the process with the buyer at the time of purchase.
*this change only applies to retailers who offer full finance applications through lenders integrated with Deal Builder
Updating advert pages for reserved vehicles
In the coming weeks we’ll be introducing a change to how your reserved vehicles are displayed. This has been designed to optimise for consumer contact and to help you continue to build a pipeline of potential sales.
Once reserved, your vehicle’s advert page will still display a ‘this vehicle is reserved’ flag. However, your contact options will now be clearly visible and a ‘Message seller’ button will be placed directly below this label to allow your customers to make contact easily if they are still interested in the vehicle.
Enhancements to the Deal Builder journey
We’ve been making some improvements to our deal builder journey to improve the experience for your customers:
1. Streamlining delivery and collection options
For retailers who do not have the home delivery option selected, we are removing the ‘Confirm collection point’ step from the Deal Builder journey. This ensures the most concise journey for your customers where a home delivery option isn’t available.
If you do offer home delivery services, your journey will remain unchanged and will continue to offer your customers choice and flexibility over their delivery or collection preference.
2. Streamlining the finance journey
For retailers who offer a full finance application journey through Deal Builder, we’re removing the introductory page that provides a brief overview of the application steps.
Now, customers who choose to begin the finance process will be directed immediately to the first step in the journey, where they can select their preferred finance terms to quickly get an estimate of what their monthly payments might look like.
3. Updating consumer contact detail capture
We’ve refreshed the contact preferences page to make it clearer to your customers why we need their contact information.
As part of this change, we’re now mandating that customers provide a phone number. However, they will still have the option to opt-out of being contacted via phone for accessibility reasons.
These improvements have all been designed to improve your Deal Builder experience whilst driving greater performance within your business. They come as part of the continuous enhancements that we are making to the Deal Builder journey to create the best possible experience for retailers and car buyers.
